چکیده
In this study an integrated process is presented as a suitable method to transform Fe3+ oxides present in bauxite residue into magnetic and metallic iron through microwave roasting reduction, avoiding the formation of hercynite (FeAl2O4). first step, all alumina phases were transformed sodium aluminates by adding carbonate flux BR then leached out alkali-leaching recover alumina. Subsequently, leaching was mixed with carbon roasted using furnace at optimum conditions. The oxide sinter converted (98%). addition, not detected. produced cinder subjected wet high intensity separation separate from other elements.

Extraction of Iron and Manganese from Pyrolusite Absorption Residue by Ammonium Sulphate Roasting–Leaching Process
The residue from desulfurization and denitrification of exhaust gas treatment process with pyrolusite ore as absorbent is regarded as a potential source of iron and manganese. In this study, an extraction process is proposed for recovery of iron and manganese with ammonium sulphate roasting followed by sulphuric acid leaching. Firstly, the conversion mechanism was analyzed through mineral phase...
متن کاملDigestion of Alumina from Non-Magnetic Material Obtained from Magnetic Separation of Reduced Iron-Rich Diasporic Bauxite with Sodium Salts
Recovery of iron from iron-rich diasporic bauxite ore via reductive roasting followed by magnetic separation has been explored recently. However, the efficiency of alumina extraction in the non-magnetic materials is absent. In this paper, a further study on the digestion of alumina by the Bayer process from non-magnetic material obtained after magnetic separation of reduced iron-rich diasporic ...
متن کاملA Mineralogical Assessment on Residues after Acidic Leaching of Bauxite Residue (Red Mud) for Titanium Recovery
Due to its alkalinity, red mud produced by the Bayer process may affect both the environment and human health. For this reason, its further utilization instead of disposal is of great importance. Numerous methods have already been studied for hydrometallurgical treatment of red mud, especially for the recovery of various metallic components such as iron, aluminum, titanium or rare earth element...
متن کاملRecovery of molybdenum from spent hydro-refining catalysts by soda ash roasting - A statistical approach
In the present study, a hydro-refining spent catalyst with an alumina base has been taken into consideration. It is mostly used for the recovery of molybdenum. The spent catalyst constitutes around 21 pct of molybdenum as molybdenum oxide. The study has revealed that at temperature lower than 600C, it is possible to recover an appreciable quantity of molybdenum from the spent catalyst. The stat...

The recovery of selenium from Iranian sar-cheshmeh copper anode slime has been investigated. Copper anode slimes are containing varying precious metals, such as: gold, silver, selenium and tellurium. They are being extracted as a by-product in the production process. Arsenic and antimony that present in anode slimes dissolved in 0.4 M KOH. Then, the alkaline roasting of anode slimes in the pres...
